13mm Winch Cable: The Ideal Replacement Solution

The 13mm winch cable features a robust 7x19 construction with an impressive 1960 tensile strength rating. Additionally the wire rope ha been galvanized to offer great corrosion protection.

This cable with good safety margins and high strength is suitable for medium to heavy-duty winching tasks whether vehicle recovery or other industrial applications.

13mm Winch Cable Options

Our standard length options are 10, 15, 20, 25 & 30 metres although we can make up rope to a specific length on request.

One end of the cable will be fuse and tapered, this end is intended for attaching to the winch drum. The fuse and taper seals the ends of the wire strands, thus prevent fraying and unravelling. It also provides a smooth, tapered end for easy fitting.

At the other end of the cable – the one you will use to anchor your load, there is a number of options. First up is the standard thimble eye set up. The steel thimble is secured inside the cable eye and secured under high pressure with a ferrule. This set up has many advantages which include a more rigid anchoring eye, no friction on the wire cable, thus less wear and abrasion, and a suitable place for attaching other temporary hardware such as a shackle. This is option two, a thimble eye with shackle. The third option is the thimble eye with a permanently fitted safety hook. The hook incorporates a sprung safety latch to prevent it from accidental release.
