Closing in on the upper limits of our 7x7 stainless steel wire rope range in terms of diameter, this 9mm 7x7 stainless steel wire rope example provides a full five tonnes of load bearing strength. It can be ordered on its own, or as part of a custom assembly created by our experts.
That 5,030kg capacity mentioned earlier as achieved via the 7x7 strand configuration while still allowing for a degree of flexibility. It may not be able to match an equivalent 1x19 stainless steel wire rope for rigidity and strength, but this product’s malleable construction makes up for these deficiencies.
If corrosion could be a problem in the environment where you plan on using wire rope, then a stainless steel option like this will be a blessing. It will essentially be able to operate continuously in moist environments without rusting, although wear and tear will eventually take its toll, as is the case with all such products.
