Lifting slings appear in a wide range of shapes, sizes and materials, here at Rope Services Direct we can manufacture and supply most types to your precise specifications. From web slings to chain slings, wire rope slings to round slings, fibre rope slings and much more.
We have our own clean workshop with industrial cutting and sewing machinery which enables us to manufacture custom products. Examples include web slings, round slings, one way slings / single use slings, endless slings and more. Webbing materials come in a range of widths, and colours to suit the safe working load required. Webbing can be made into lifting slings, straps and strops which may have soft eyes or be endless. Other fittings may be stitched in during manufacture. We also produce wear sleeves or protective sleeves to suit any sling. Sleeves help with wear reduction in high stress areas and essentially extending the working life of your sling.

Our range of slings made from webbing include flat web slings or lifting strops as they are often called, as well as round slings, one trip slings, endless slings and multi leg web slings. Rope Services Direct have their own clean workshop with industrial sewing facilities and a professional team who can custom make almost any type of webbing product from slings to flat tow ropes, and with countless fitting options to choose from you can really get a bespoke web sling to suit your needs.
We can supply many types of fibre ropes such as natural manila, sisal, cotton, or man-made polypropylene, nylon and polyester, we have skilled people on our team who can hand splice these ropes the traditional way. We can also add soft eyes, add thimbles and supply hooks to be used as tow rope kits.
Wire rope slings are another of our specialities. Options include galvanized wire rope or stainless steel wire rope. Multi-leg wire rope slings, soft eye or thimble eye wire rope slings and endless wire rope slings are just a few ore in our range. RSD can also add protective coatings to the wire for added protection for special lifting operations. Chain slings can be supplied with a termination of your choice.
Tow ropes are found in this category due to their similar nature, although used for pulling rather than lifting. We have two standard options available which include a flat belt towing kit and a hand spliced, fibre rope tow kit. If you need something very specific please get in touch, our team can usually make up a tow rope kit to suit your requirements.
Sitting alongside our extensive range of lifting slings, Rope Services Direct also offer protective sleeves for most types of lifting slings whether webbing or rope varieties. Once again these can be customised to suit your sling.
An additional service we offer is our sling repairs. We can re-web some web slings with minor damage which are then re-tested to ensure strength and safety.
