Dynamo Eye Bolt - Metric Thread Basics

These metric threaded eye bolts are designed to be used for straight, in-line lifting tasks and must not be used for any task where angles are present in the set up. If you see an angle forming then switch out your dynamo eye bolt for a collared variety which can handle angled loading.

Made from high tensile steel that has been drop forged these metric dynamo lifting eyes have a minimum breaking load safety factor of 5 x WLL. That's five times the stated working load limit, but it doesn't mean you can regularly lift over the stated maximum working load limit, this is just a safety factor determined by testing to breaking point and provides a safety margin for unintentional overloading. Never exceed the WLL marked on the eye bolt. Other markings include ID, size and CE mark for easy identification.

Metric threaded eye bolts must only be used in metric threaded holes/recess. Using them in a hole with a different type of thread such as BSW Whitworth or UNC will not be secure when loaded.
