About Eye Bolts to DIN580

DIN580 eye bolts sit between Dynamo and standard collared eye bolts, they can be used for some angled lifting tasks, unlike dynamo although not as big angles as collared eye bolts. The DIN580 does have a larger eye like dynamo varieties however so may be more suitable for particular lifting tasks.

When used in pairs for lifting the maximum angle must be no more than 60 degrees. If you need larger angles then a collared eye bolt would be better suited as angles up to 90 degrees can be obtained.

You should also note that the maximum working load limit will need to be reduced according to the size of the angle. For example if the eye bolt has a stated WLL of 2.5 tonne in a straight lift then if the angle is less than 45 degrees the WLL will be 1.5 tonne; if the angle is between 45 and 60 degrees the new WLL will be 1.05 tonne. Always consult the lifting at angles table specific to the product you are using.
