About the Viper Ratchet Hoist
The versatile Viper ratchet hoist can be used to lift loads, pull objects and also to tension certain items. There is a very good range of capacities available and start at 250kg with incremental increases up to the maximum 9000kg model.
The standard lifting height is 1.5 metres but if you need more then give us a call. It is worth noting with these lever hoists that a minimum load is required in order to activate the brake; please refer to the specifications to see the specifics.
Viper Ratchet Lever Hoist Features
Featuring a short lever which minimises the effort required to operate the hoist. On the main body you will find a small toggle type switch which enables switching between functions. The three functions are 'UP', 'DOWN' & 'NEUTRAL' If you are using the hoist for pulling or tensioning horizontally then the up position will pull back the chain and the down position will forward the chain out or slacken it. When the neutral position is selected the chain is in free mode and can be pulled through at a rapid pace – ideal when inserting new chain or extending the chain quickly out prior to load attachment.
Other features include grade 80 alloy load chain with an electro-galvanised finish; high grade quality steel body for optimum internal gear and brake system protection and quality suspension and load hooks complete with safety latches.

Not sure if this is not right for your need? Try comparing with our other ratchet lever hoist models, and perhaps our wire rope cable pullers which can also lift, pull and tension loads. If you only need to lift then a chain block may be more suitable. If you are still struggling with your choice then get in touch, we can usually help.
