Yale Handy Ratchet Hoist Features & Benefits

Besides the obvious benefit of its compact size (its just 240mm tall) the Yale handy ratchet lever hoist has many features and benefits to offer. First and foremost there are two models available, the smallest in both physical size, weight and capacity is 250kg and weighs just 2.2kg; the slightly larger model has a 500kg capacity and weighs in at 2.8kg. Both models come with a 1.5 metre height of lift as standard but longer chain can be supplied on request.

Just like most standard lever hoists you get an 'up' – 'neutral' – 'down' selector switch to enable you to change the direction the chain feeds through. When in neutral mode you can free chain without hindrance. Free chaining mode is great for feeding out the chain quickly in order to anchor a load whether for lifting, pulling or tensioning.

The top anchor hook and the load hook are forged and incorporate safety latches to ensure they stay put and loads are held. A disc type brake provides the load holding mechanism.

The small size, light weighted-ness, together with all the benefits of a standard lever hoist the Yale Handy makes a great tool box addition.
