Only the second most slender galvanised rope we stock, this 6x7 construction creation is impressively malleable and surprisingly hard wearing in spite of its 1.5mm diameter. With six bundles of seven galvanised steel strands on the outside and a core created using tough yet flexible fibres beneath, there is a lot going on beneath the unassuming surface of this 1.5mm rope.

Wire rope with this 6x7 configuration poses an interesting conundrum for buyers; the arrangement of the strands means that the outer surface is relatively smooth. Its unlikely to cause abrasions, yet the diameter has a greater effect on the flexibility. In the case of this 1.5mm example, this is less of a concern, although its comparatively restricted fatigue resistance when compared with other wire rope is worth remembering.
