Man Made Fibre Rope Natural Fibre Rope

At wire ropes direct we are able to offer a wide range of quality rope. Our ropes come in a wide range of diameters ranging from 2mm twine to 28mm thick rope. Ropes can be made from a variety of different materials, natural rope (sisal rope, jute rope, manila rope, hemp rope, cotton) or man-made rope, (nylon rope and polypropylene rope.)

Fibre ropes are used for a huge variety of applications, from the garden (decking, plant training) marine and seafaring (mooring, towing, rigging etc.) construction and farming industries to name but a few.

16 plait hollow nylon braided rope.

Blue & yellow. A buoyant rope ideal around water, excellent knot strength, also good for barrier/crowd control, and water sports. Available in 8mm diameter up to 100metre lengths, and 12mm diameter up to 50metre lengths.

Yellow. Good for water sports, barrier/crowd control. Floats and is easy to splice. Available in 10mm diameter up to 65metre lengths

16 plait hollow braided rope

Blue & red. An ideal rope for water sports as it floats. Also ideal for barrier & crowd control, good knot strength and easy to splice. Available in 6mm diameter up to 175 metre lengths

Danline 3 strand split film rope

Orange. An ideal rope for use in the fishing and marine industries.

Available in 8mm diameter up to 220metre lengths

3 strand split film polypropylene rope

Multi-purpose use for non-critical applications. Light and inexpensive, ideal for scaffolding lashing / lorry sheets. Blue

available in 4,6,8,10 & 12 mm diameters Up to 220metres (coils)

3 strand nylon rope. white

Very strong rope and soft to touch. Good choice for mooring rope, also good abrasion and uv resistance. Available in 6mm up to 110m lengths, 8mm up to 73m lengths, 10mm up to 55m lengths (coils)

solid braided rope white polyester

Ideal for starter pull cords. Firm round rope, keeps its shape even under load. Resists rot, mildew and abrasions. Available in 3,4,5 & 6mm diameters, up to 100metre lengths.

This rope is the most popular general purpose rope used in the boating industry. Polyester rope stretches very little and therefore cannot absorb shock loads as well but is superior in resistance to abrasion and sunlight. Available in 6,8,10 & 12mm diameters

Braid on braid polyester rope

An ideal cruising rope, very good on the hands and easy to splice, can be used for many on board applications including sheets and halyards

Colours available: white/red, white/blue white/green & white/yellow. Diameters available 6-16mmwhite

Braid on braid nylon rope (dockline)

An ideal mooring line, has a small amount of stretch to cope with tidal movement.
Available in navy or black from 12-16mm diameters

White 3 strand polypropylene rope

Tough and inexpensive rope used for non-critical applications, similar in texture to natural fibre rope.
Available in 6-36mm diameters up to 220 metre lengths

Dyneema high strength winch rope

Twice the strength of wire rope yet more than 5x lighter. Buoyant and high chemical and UV resistance, easily handled and spliced. Available in 2-10mm up to 100 metres.

Decking rope / Barrier rope

Available in 24mm diameters up to 34metre lengths
Red, Blue or Burgandy
Ideal for aesthetic decking ropes or barrier ropes
Or other decorative purposes
